Oolitic aragonite sand is a naturally formed, high-purity calcium carbonate sand created by ocean currents around tropical islands of The Bahamas and imported directly for our use. Each grain develops as tiny, smooth spheres called oolites—formed when calcium carbonate crystallizes around a small core and is gently rolled by the sea. It provides the sensory feel of a pristine tropical beach—safe, clean, and comfortable for children to dig, build, and play.
Silica-free
Many conventional play sands contain crystalline silica, which can release fine dust particles when disturbed. Inhaling silica dust over time can irritate the lungs and, in high concentrations, pose long-term respiratory risks. By using silica-free sand, er remove that concern entirely, creating a safer environment for children and caregivers.
